On Tramadol For Arthritis In Knees. High BP. History Of Replacement Of Both Knees. Safe Way To Wean Of Medicine?

I have been taking tramadol 50 mg 1 tab in the am and 1 in the afternoon for several years for arthritis in my knees. I have had both knees replaced and would like to wean off the meds. I have seen that it should not be suddenly stopped and wonder how I can safely be weaned. I have a history of high BP and am concerned.

As such you have undergone the knee replacement and I feel if pain is not beyond your control you should stop taking tramadol and if you feel sudden stopping of same will be unbearable you may withdraw gradually like
:- take 50 mg once only for 3 t 4 days later you can take 25mg daily for another few days and later completely stop.
this is gradual and you will be able to withstand any mild pain if there is (for which you have been taking tramadol for long).
best wishes
