On Period, Have Burning Urination, Less Urine Flow With Blood Drops. Is It UTI?
i am currently on my period and have started today. a few hours ago i started to feel a burning sensation while urinating, i can only urinate very little at a time and very small drops of blood are coming out, however this could not be my blood from my period because i have a tampon in which is not fully saturated. i think i may have a UTI but i am not positive, should i see my GP?
It does seem to be a urinary tract infection ma'am. I would recommend visiting a doctor for a urine examination to confirm the infection.
In the meantime, please abstain from indulging in sexual contact of any form, drink plenty of water, drink cranberry juice if available, purchase an over-the- counter urine alkalizer and you could also drink some water mixed with a tablespoon of baking soda.
You will undoubtedly require antibiotic coverage so please schedule an appointment with your doctor.
Hope this helps.
best wishes.
