Hi,
There might be a number of reasons why
oxycodone does not show up in the urine:
1. In the USA, 2 types of drug tests exist: standard and extended. The standard test follows a special protocol called SAMHSA-5 and DOES NOT test for oxycodone specifically. An interesting fact is that oxycodone is a morphine/
opiate derivate but regular opiate test can miss it. Also, please note that the test for
hydrocodone, which is another derivate of morphine, MAY NOT detect oxycodone as well.
The extended test includes testing for additional 3-4 drugs but may or may not include oxycodone testing.
2. Drugs are tested in a number of structures including urine, saliva, hair, blood etc. All I want to say is that urine test IS NOT the most accurate. It is just a screening test
There might be more potential explanations to your concern. I just wanted to let you know that you do not have to worry about this as long as you take your medication as prescribed.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
