General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, you are on progesterone drug.
This drug helps to get the endometrial glands to get thin and atrophic and hence helps to decrease the bleeding to great extent ( only if taken continuously)
The progesterone has very minimal or almost nil complications when compared to combined contraceptive pills.
In your condition the advantages far out-weights the adverse effects.
Continue the drug as prescribed by physician, and get regular check up done.
Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
