On Mirena. History Of Prescribed Pill For Acne Followed By Bleeding And Stopping The Pill. Sore Breasts And Spotting In The Middle Of Pill Cycle. Reason?
Hi, I am currently have a mirena in. I have bad acne so the gyno prescribed the pill to try get rid of it. But I stopped the pill because of intermittent bleeding. I have had abnormal cells removed in a LETZ procedure and have normal smears now. I have very sore breasts and spotting again in the middle of my pill cycle. Why is this?
Hi, Thanks for writing in. Pills used to treat acne, contain hormones which effect breast & all other hormone sensitive areas of a woman's body. Abnormal bleeding may occur during the first few months of pill usage. However, it is very difficult for us to say so with surety that pills are responsible for all these symptoms considering your history of LLETZ. You should see your Gynecologist & get yourself examined. you should also exclude pregnancy by doing a pregnancy test although it is quite rare with Mirena in. Lastly, a pelvic ultrasound is likely to be very informative for your diagnosis. Wish you good health.
hi, sore breasts and spotting during mid cycle (it is due to ovulation and is normal due to hormonal changes). so need not worry much, however meet your gynecology doctor once.
wish you good health
