On Digoxin. More Episodes And Side Effects After Changing To Diltiazem Due To Non Availability Of Digoxin. Help
Yes my mother was on digoxin (lanoxin) for twenty years and didn't have any problems the drug worked
perfect, the she had a episode and at the hospital the heart doctor told her he was putting her on a different
drug that digoxin is no longer available , ever since then she's had more episodes with the new drug diltiazem,
which doesn't seem to work as well.

I am so sorry to hear abut what your mother has been experiencing.
It is strange to hear that digoxin is out of stock. it may be at that particular hospital or neighborhood, but with efforts you can always get this drug. Please, talk with your doctor to provide the prescription so that you can check with different pharmacies and get the drug for your mother.
We don't change the drugs of patients that easily and more so when the substitute isn't better than the previous drug. Please, put in efforts and order the drug for your mother so that she can return to it and free herself of these side effects.
