On Depo Provera. No Bleeding. Concerned About Pinkish Spotting

I have been on Depo-Provera for 18 months with no bleeding or spotting in that entire time. I just, in the last three days, starting having a small amount of light pink spotting. I have always gotten my injections on time and am due for my next one in 10 days. I am 45 years old. Is this worrisome that, after so many months, I now have some breakthrough bleeding?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi dear user, irregular vaginal bleeding is a side effect of depo provera. If this bleeding is not excessive then no need to worry. In my opinion you can take your next injection on due time.
