Old Aged, Diabetic And Having Pneumonia. Heart Not Functioning Properly. Angioplasty Is Recommended?

My mother is hesitantly having an angioplasty. She is 79 years of age. She went to the hospital after a flight where she believes she caught a bug from a family that was coughing a lot seated behind her. She ended up wit pneumonia. Upon all her tests, they told her her heart was not functioning well, they believe she may have had a heart attack or stroke that she may have not been aware of. Her EF is at 55, she is a diabetic and over weight. She still has some fluids in her lungs. Should she have the angioplasty?

Hi, thank you for asking healthcare Magic.
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns.
With this presentation, I think it is first of all important to treat her pneumonia and drain the fluid in her lungs. Her Ef is not bad. Angioplasty can still be done later but now it is not an emergency.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish her good health
