I had a nodular soft tissue biopsy from my lower lip taken, Could you please help me to understand the result, which says:- Sections show nodular fragments of skeletal and fibrofatty tissue enclosed lobulated portions of minor salivary gland , there are focal areas of mild acinar atrophy associated with chronic inflammation and stromal fibrosis. the report indicates no gross pathological abnormality. there is only some inflammatory changes which i think is non specific..
Mild acinar atrophy is common finding in old age, or in long standing infection.
So, overall the report shows no bad thing.
