No Help From Zoloft For Anxiety, Depression. On Lamictal For Mood Stabilization. Prescribed Wellbutrin. Will This Help?
I have been taking 50 mgm of Zoloft for about 8 weeks and it has not helped my anxiety/depression, I have also been on Lamictal, 200 mgm. for a year for mood stabilization. My provider has just added Wellbutrin 150 Mgm. to my daily routine. What can I expect from addin the Wellbutrin and when can I expect to see improvement in my anxiety/depression?

Zoloft is sertaline and it is a good antidepressant and antianxiety drug. Lamotrigine is a good mood stabilizer drug. Both drugs are very nice drugs for bipolar mood disorder and can effectively control depression. Bupropion is also a nice anti depressant and it is also given as add on drug for control if depressive symptoms. As the drug has been only recently added to your prescription it will start showing its augmenting effect in about 2-4 weeks.

The dose of Zoloft that you are taking is just the starting dose and should be hiked if you have not perceived any improvement. In fact, the dose can be gradually hiked up to 200 mg per day. Wellbutrin is also an antidepressant and acts faster than Zoloft. You should be able to see an improvement in a few days.
