Hi there.

Brown flecks in the vomit can be due to bleeding from stomach ulcer. Patients who have stomach ulcers tend to eat very less food as it hurts to eat food. The brown flecks represent possible digested blood from the bleeding stomach ulcer.

She needs an urgent endoscopy by her Gastroenterologist to look for possible stomach ulcer. This needs to be treated.

She needs to have a diet with plenty of yoghurt, milk, fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Drink 1-2 litres of water daily. Avoid spicy food, fatty or oily food, smoking and alcohol.

Kindly do not delay her visit to the Gastroenterologist as this needs to be treated as soon as possible.

Wishing speedy recovery.

Regards,
