Night Sweats And Chills After Having Partial Hysterectomy. Sleeplessness. Is There A Cure?

Hi, I'm 54, had 2 children, had a partial hysterectomy when I was 33. I have night sweats and chills now for the last 3 months. I am only getting on the average of 4 hours of sleep a night. I also get hot flashes during the day and then I get chilled. Is this normal and for how long am I going to have this? My mother never had hot flashes and neither my older sister.

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

The symptoms you are experiencing are common symptoms experienced after a hysterectomy. For more details you could visit the below given link:

I would advise you to visit your doctor regarding the same, as the most common cause for this is an hormonal imbalance, which can easily be corrected. Your doctor would request to conduct a few investigations, after which he/she would advise you hormonal replacement therapy, which should help relieve your symptoms at the earliest. Do not stress or worry about this, as it will only aggravate your condition further. I am sure you will be fine soon.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
