Need Medication For Red,itchy & Painful Bumps All Over Legs
Red, itchy, painful bumps all over legs(mostly surrounding knees and on thighs) have been reoccuring for about 3 months. I have been to the doctor twice and the first time they said it was folliculitus. They prescribed an anitbiotic but it didn t help at all. The second time they said it was possibly chicken pox and said they would just go away by themselves. They have a white head and filled with pus(like a pimple) and when I pop them they scab and scar. I have also tried not popping them and they just get bigger and are very painful. I have tried not shaving but they seem to get worse then. Thanks!
It may be chronic folliculitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to apply antibiotic. Fusidin cream on the lesions and to take a course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs for few weeks to months. Take steps to improve hygiene and immunity.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
