Need Medication For Gastritis

Hello Dr.,

Sorry to bother you at this time. My name is Ronald, I really need help understanding the best ways to deal with my inflammation/gastritis problems. I am 26 years old I weigh 145lbs and am 5'7 in height. I used to drink heavy and smoke as well however I quit smoking two years ago and drink only occasionally. I am a coffee drinker but the reason I continue to drink it is because its only sometimes that I feel the inflammation pains. My issue is that I understand I have Gastritis and I know what to eat and what not to eat. My issue is that I had a few drinks almost three days ago and I have not been able to get a good nights rest because of all the gases causing pain in my stomach, chest area, and strangely I feel a numb and tingly feeling on my left arm. I take my own pulse and I am fine but its very uncomfortable and scary. Do you have any advice to help calm the gases? I feel it gets worst when I take deeper breaths and when I burp I get a moment relief but it comes back just as fast. I hope you might be able to help me figure something out. I don't have medical or money to see a doctor so I am turning to my only option. Thank you in advance doctor, I will be eagerly but patiently hoping for a response.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms may be related to stomach issue. And it does not have to be inflammation. But left arm numbness with lower abdominal pain can be also a symptom of heart problems. So it will be really hard to help you without additional tests.
GERD, stomach inflammation, peptic ulcer and Helicobacter Pylori infection should be ruled out at your case. To do that, gastroscopy is necessary. It is also important as H.Pylori infection or esophageal inflammation can make you prone to the cancer. And if H.Pylori is present, any treatment without antibiotics wont give a relief.

As you drink lots of coffee, Magnesium deficiency can cause your arm tingling.
Here is what you can try to do by your own. Please start Magnesium 400 mgs supplementation and probiotic supplementation. You definitely should avoid fatty foods, spicy foods, alcohol (!), coffee(!), chocolate, fruit juices. Last meal should be 2 hours before sleeping (do not eat just before sleeping). Place an additional pillow under your head to avoid acid regurgitation.
If this wont help, doctors visit is necessary.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
