Nausea, Vomiting, Pink Color Discharge With 3 Clumps. Started Taking Nuvaring For First Time. What Could Be This?
Two weeks ago I started using Nuvaring for the first time. Before I started Nuvaring, I had BV and took Metronidazole for 7 days. Today, Ive been feeling nauseous and have thrown up in my mouth a couple times. Then after going to the restroom, I discharged a pink color that was in 3 clumps. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ME? Is it the nuvaring? Or whats going on?
The most likely culprit of your symptoms is side effect of nuvaring. When taking nuvaring, it is possible to experience breast symptoms, menstrual cramps, abdominal pains, nausea, weight gain, vaginal secretion/vaginitis, vaginal candidiasis etc. You apparently experience some of the symptoms and it will be wise for you to see a gynobs at this point. Other possible causes of your symptoms is pelvic inflammation which can only be ruled out by your doctor.
Hope this helps and wish you the best

Nausea, Vomiting, Pink Color Discharge With 3 Clumps. Started Taking Nuvaring For First Time. What Could Be This?
Hello, Nuvaring is a combined OCP and above clinical features are mostly seen among first time users as adverse effects. Though, you need to undergo one blood test for beta-hCG and TVS scan (around 4 wks from LMP) to rule out pelvic pathology or early miscarriage. Following above tests, you must consult with gynecologist for next line management of the case. Maintain genital hygiene. Use some back up contraceptive method for the first 1-2 months. Be well.
