My Pulse Rate Is 102 With Pounding Heart, What Could Be The Reason Of This ?
My normal heart rate is around 68 to 73 when resting but for the last 2 days my heart has felt like it has been racing, almost pounding with the odd sharp twinge. I have just checked my pulse and it s around 105 beats. I am a fitness instructor so very fit. I have also had a few hot spells and breathless periods. Should I see a doctor or should I wait to see the doctor on monday

well if NOW you have breathlessness, discomfort or pain of any sort then you need to see the doctor. but if presently you dont have such symptoms but only have tachycardia(high pulse) then you can wait till monday. but must see the doctor ASAP.
do not worry because high pulse can be due to many reasons other than cardiac one.

It seems that you might sinus arrhythmia which is normal.
But to rule out other cardiac problem go for ECG and expert opinion.
