Hi welcome to health care magic........
Breast pain with fever in a nursing mother looks more like a breast abscess or cellulitis , get a surgical consulatation and if there is an abscess it needs to be drained along with a course of antibiotic and antipyretic like paracetamol.

Pediatrician Dr. Diana Divakar's  Response
Hi Samantha,
Wellcome to the healthcare magic forum,
First of all, as a pediatrician, i would like to ask y is your mother breastfeeding since 2 years. Ask her to stop doing it....Breastfeeding is recomended only till the child is maximum 1 1/2 years...Its harmful to the child as well, since his appetite is fullfilled by the inadequat and non-nutritious breastmilk. As for your mother, fever, pain in the breast, headache could be because of breast engorgement and if severe pain, it could be an abscess too....Ask your mother to
#take hot fomentations on the breast,
#stop breast feeding,
#take some analgesics and
#if pain and fever persist to see a gynecologist.
Dont worry, things will be fine...Hope you know wat to do now....Take care...Bye....
