my husband had a cluster of what looked like blood blisters pop up on his forearm . he said there was no pain, itching or any other problems with them but we did not know if maybe it was something leading to another more serious issue?

Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
May be they are Actinic Purpura, Kindly get him examined by a Dermatologist so that he can examine him and rule out the exact cause. They are usually harmless and will subside on their own. He may not need medications if they are confirmed or the Doctor may prescribe him steriod topical preparations. He should be avoiding going out in the sun between 10am and 4pm and use a Sunscreen lotion when ever he moves out.

Good Luck.
