Mirena IUD Inserted, Having Periods Lasting Weeks. Ultrasound Showed It Is In Place. How To Cure?

Hello I have had the mirena iud for 9mos now I have a cycle every month but it last 2-4 weeks I will be off for a day or two than it comes back. I contacted my OB that placed it but I keep getting told its normal and will do this for 6 months to a year I have had an ultrasound to see if it was in place and the ultrasound showed that it was in place. I'm confused of what to do and what not to do I need some advise please help me!!!!!!!

heavy bleeding in term og long menstruation is major side effect of IUD .
if patient develop this means he is not suitable candidate for IUD .
you should consult to your gynec and enqure about the other method of contraception
as per my advice since 9 month if u are having this problem you should discontinue with this method .
consult to yr gynec.
