Lump On Wrist And Pinky Finger, Deformity Visible. Could It Be A Ganglion?
Hi, I have a 2cm lump that appear on my wrist on the pinky finger side. It is soft and does not hurt. When I look at my wrist with the palm facing away, I can totally see a deformity on the medial side of my wrist, it starts at the articulation and goes proximal. I did not hurt or hit my wrist. It happened all of a sudden, I did not see it earlier today. Could it be a ganglion? What could cause this to happen?
Hi! Welcome to HCM! YES,You seem to be having a ganglion on your wrist.A ganglion is a small, harmless cyst that is filled with thick jelly-like material, that sometimes develops in the wrist. We don't know exactly what causes ganglions, there are only hypothesis. a ganglion that isn't painful and doesn't interfere with activity can often be left untreated without harm to the patient. However, treatment options are available for painful ganglions or ones that cause problems. My advice is that you should get it examined and get a FNAC done to confirm. hope this will help you! take care!
