Lump On Upper Right Jawbone. Having Stomach Flu, Fever. What Could It Be?

My daughter has a somewhat painful to touch knot\ lump on her upper right jawbone. Not on her neck but on the bone somewhat underneath of it you could say. Im very concerned but would like to know if this is common or what the greatest possibilities are. She has been sick with the stimach flu 2 days ago and is still running a fever. We all had the stomach flu. Thanks. Brandy.
