Lump On Left Breast Close To Nipple. Pain. Consult Doctor?

Hi I'm 21 and for the last month I've had a red mark like the size of a quarter it had a hard lump in the middle of it and it's on my left breast fairly close to the nipple tonight my husband brushed my breast and I noticed it hurt I looked to find the bump sticking out more and the redness increased to just over the size of a loony should I go to the hospital!?

Hi and thanks for the query,
Lumps in the breast are generally not cancerous , especially in young ladies. However in ladies with a history of breast cancer in families need a more detailed and stringent assessment. An ultrasound is required but treatment with specific hormones are usually generally sufficient. I suggest you book an appointment with a gynecologist for a proper review, but you really need not worry much. Kind regards.
