Losing Weight, Tiredness, Watery Stool, Change In Color Of Stool. Taken Flagyl. Am I Infected With E Histolytica?

Hi,

I think my daughter is infected with E. histolytica for more then 3 weeks. She lost wight and looks tired all the day (was very very active before) her stool first week was watery now is more solid but she release a big amount of stool every time go to toilet with pain and it has different color (yellow, dark brown).
She took flagyl for last 2 weeks but the was no result. Please advice as I am feeling I am losing her..

Hi,
it seems that your daughter might be having some gastro-intestinal infection, either of amebic, bacterial or worm infection.
Go for stool test for ova and cyst.
After report go for treatment accordingly as prescribed by your doctor.
Ok and take care.
