Loose Motion For 6 Month Old With Fever, Prescribed Econorm, Zinconia, Crocin. Other Medication Required ?

Hi my 6month old baby is having loose motion with 5-6 stools each day for last three days. He has also developed fever now 103 f. Our doctor has prescribed econorm, zinconia and Crocin as SOS. For ORS he has suggested liquid ors. We have got intalyte-l. His fever has subsided after giving him Crocin. But we are worried if such a high fever demands other medication. Please help.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Your baby is suffering from acute summer diarrhea which is generally caused by viral infections. Your doctor has prescribed the right medicine and there is no need for antibiotics. The baby will recover in about 5-7 days. Just keep giving him plenty of fluids and if your are breast feeding him, do not stop it.
