Large Uterus, Fibroids. Suggested Robotic Surgery. Is This Safe?

Thank you Doctor for being willing to answer questions now. I can not sleep, I have some anxiety. My OB / GYN feels she needs to refer me to a ROBOT Doctor for my hsyter. She stated She does not want to try Lap. surgery and end up with an abd. cut. She said my Uterus is large, and she feels ROBOTIC surgery would be best. I have many Fibroids. I am 41. How do you feel about ROBOTICS ?

Hi,
With large uterus & fibriods, it's always safer to go for Robotic surgery. The robotic surgery for fibroids combines throughness of conventional surgery with least invasive procedure having just 1-2 cm. incision in uterus.
* It has many advantages,viz-
*Quick recovery,less pain, lessdiscomfort.
*Less scaring,less trauma
* less complications,less blood loss.
*Shorter hospital stay&faster recovery.
So your Dr. has given the best advice.PL. belive him & be carefree., Sleep well.
