Laceration On Head, Blood Clot Under Scalp, Tender Spot On Head, Headache On Touching It. Normal Symptoms?

I suffered a laceration on my head about a month ago. It took 5 staples to close it. The doctor explained that there was still a large blood clot under the scalp , so I followed instructions and kept it very clean. Now I am still experiencing a tender spot on my head that leads to a headache when I touch it or bump it. Is this normal?
