Is Train Journey Safe At 27th Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 27 weeks pregnant and my ultrasound report shows low lying placenta posterior position 15 mm above cervix. At 21 weeks it was also 15 mm above cervix. Is it ok for me to take a train journey of 15 hrs. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I am 34 yrs of age.

Hi and welcome to HCM

If you are pregnant the safest time for you to travel, generally speaking, is during the second trimester, provided you aren’t experiencing any complications.

Placenta above 20mm from cervix is good. But in your case it is 15mm and it is risky. I advice you to consult your obstetrician before traveling.

All the best
