I have been taking Thyronorm 100mg tablets from my third pregnancy onwards till now . I am 32 years old. I find a lot of hair loss in my scalp . Please let me know if my hormone problemscan be rectified using this medicine and hair continues to grow or if there is the question of reducing weight and the dosage of medicine.

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
The body requirements for levothyroxine change during the life, for the unknown reasons.
to exclude hypothyroid as a cause of your hair loss you should check the thyroid hormones:
-TSH, FT4 and Ft3.
If they result to be within the normal ranges with the actual dose, i would suggest to check iron levels, to exclude an anemia.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
