Is There Any Possibility Of HIV Infection If ELISA Test Is Negative?

hello, i am 21 yrs old... i had sex 8 months back with condom.. but during weeks i had some symptoms matched wit hiv... so in suspicion i first took a rapid test which confirmed non reactive then i went for elisa which is also non reactive.. like i got 0.05 range.. is there any possibility of aids in future...

thank you for query.It is not clear when the rapid tests and elisa tests are done.if it is done after 3 months from exposure then the tests are reliable and you need not worry of HIV.The symptoms are non specific and may be due to any infection from any other persons (upper respiratory infection i suppose or flu like).You can get back for any clarifications.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.

there is a no chance of you getting HIV as you had protected sex. Moreover you have been tested twice and both the results are negative.
HIV is transmitted by participating in any sort of un protected sex with HIV positive person or by sharing needles with a positive person or by blood transfusion taken from HIV positive person etc....
so dont think about HIV in mind and live happily as there is no possibilty of HIV in future due to your act 8 months back
