Is There Any Chance Of Not Being HIV Infected After Being In Contact With HIV Positive?

dear sir, i have had a sexual contact with a hiv positive girl for one year during 20008-09 without any sefty precautions taken. after that i havent had any kind of sexual contact. but when i went for an elisa test last week the result came back as NON REACTIVE (0.07) . WHAT DOES IT MEAN ? Is there any possibility of me being not affected to HIV

thank you for query. The chances of transmission of HIV by sexual route is 1/ 200 to 1/2000 even if the partner is HIV infected.so it is possible that you may not be infected.also you may be in window period.if the test is done 3 months after last exposure then it unlikely you are uninfected, otherwise there are chances of positivity.
You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
