In July I was treated for arthritis in my c5 c6 and in the ac of my right shoulder. I received a cortisone shot in the shoulder and took a steriod for the neck. I recognize these will increase blood sugar, but I noted my AC1 was elevated some 5 - 6 weeks later....is there a correlation

Hi,

As you already know, Cortisone injections increase blood sugar. Due to the fact that AC1 is average for last 3 months, increase in blood sugar 5-6 weeks ago can increase AC1.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
