Is Taking Susten And Myfolact Tablets Safe During Pregnancy?
hi doctor,
I had urine pregnancy test at gnae clinic which comes out weekly postive. she pescribed me susten & myfolact tablets for a month & hcg injections twice a week. After 7 days, I visited again and test comes out positive. She had advised for Ultrasound after a month to examine.
I am bit confused about the medicines. Pls advice.

The reason dear your doctor prescribed these medicines for the sustenance of the viable pregnancy since it has been confirmed to be positive
Now about the ultrasound
The yolk sac become visible on ultrasound only on 5 th week and the cardiac activity of the fetus starts around that period
1. Susten tablets contain progesterone which helps in hold the fetus in the uterine wall to prevent abortions
2. Inj.Hcg which is human chorionic gonadotropin again help in supporting the preganacy
myfolact is is a folic acid supplement to prevent any neural defect in the growing viable fetus
So please take these medicines and follow your doctors advice
