Is Surgery The Best Solution To Cure Throat Pain Caused By Enlarged Adenoids?

my child is 3.8 yrs, since many days was complaining of throat pain, so took her to an ent doctor, doc suggested to take xray, in xray it came as enlarged adenoids, doc told surgery for removing adenoids also he will remove tonsils at same time, but tonsis are not big enough, but my paediatrician told not to go for surgery as even after surgery it can grow back at later stage, so confused what to do, iam very worried, pls help

Hi. The simple principal is to treat the child for a minimum of 3 weeks course of antibiotics and other medicines as per your Pediatrician's advise, Go for a recheck. In many patients this helps a lot. Surgery is indicated only if the medical management fails. So do not get confused. Complete the courses. Your child will be fine.
