Is Sudden Weight Loss Symptom Of Diabetes?

I am 54 years old have high blood pressure steped on a nail and got osteomyelitis in my foot I took 84 bottles of drip July of last year. I am hungry a lot and do drink a lot of water, but I have lost about 20 pounds without trying could I be diabetic? I also have hot flashies a lot

Hello,
Although Your symptoms of increased appetite with increased thirst and unintentional weighloss does raise enough suspicion of uncontrolled diabetes but there could be other reasons for this also,like hyperthyroidism etc.
You need to consult a doctor or an endocrinologist to get the proper investigations done and arrive at the diagnosis.Treatment would obviously depend upon the cause found.
