HI MY NAME IS JENNIFER I AM 20 YRS OLD AND I HAVE HAD MY PERIOD FOR A MATTER OF 2MTHS ALREADY AND ITS NOT LIKE IT IS LIGHT BLEEDING NO ITS A VERY HEAVY FLOW. IM KIND OF WORRIED THAT SOMETHING MIGHT BE WRONG. I DONT THINK IT IS NORMAL TO BE BLEEDING FOR THIS LONG
The menstrual bleeding should be stopped immediately to avoid further blood loss. Anti-fibrinolytics should be administered to reduce the blood flow. Hormonal pills should be started there after to regularise the cycles.
Anemia, polycystic ovaries, hypothyroidism, uterine fibroids and endometriosis should be ruled out. Hormonal imbalance is the main cause of heavy bleeding which should be identified and treated.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
