Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My boyfriend and i had sex. He wore a condom but he came inside of me even when he was wearing a condom. The condom started coming Off a little bit so we stopped and I m scared some cum might ve slippped out of the condom and gotten into me. Am I pregnant?
I understand your concern, and the risk is definitely there if the condom was not worn properly. If you are still within the 48-hour period where emergency contraception like Plan B or Postinor can be effective, I would advise that you get yourself a dose as soon as possible. If that window of opportunity has passed, there is nothing to do but wait until your next period and see if you are late.
If your periods are regular, the urine pregnancy test will usually be quite accurate when your periods are delayed by a week or so. If your periods are not regular, or you really want to know earlier, there is a beta hCGblood test that can be done about 2 weeks after your session of unprotected sex.
Be careful when putting on the condom the next time. Make sure you squeeze all the air out of the tip before rolling it on to minimise the chances of it slipping off.
Hope this helps, and all the best to you.
Regards, Dr. Teh
