Is On And Off Painful Burning Sensation In Right Side Of Naval With History Of Apendectomy Normal?

The question is to the right side of my naval I am experiencing a painful buring sensation at times. Two years ago I had an apendectomy. No other medical procedures. I realize you need to make money, but is there anyone who can answer me for free? I don't have the money right now to pay for it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi...it can be either due to a stone in your kidney or ureter or could be in a cyst in your ovary (if u r a female) which had got bleeding inside...or it can be simple gastritis... if you are also having burning sensation during micturation it gies morebin favor of the first... if its related to food intake then it may be gastritis...

General Surgeon Dr. Grzegorz Stanko's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Two years post surgery usually the wound does not cause any problems if it was healed well before. If you have had this symptoms since surgery, there might be some problem in this area (like stitches irritating the tissues). Otherwise it is rather something else.
In the appendix area (behind it) there is an ureter. So urinary tract infection can cause burning in this area along with frequent urinating and burning while urinating.

I suggest you to have an ultrasound of abdomen (including scar area), blood work and urine analysis.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
