My mother who is 89 years old often complains about burning sensation around naval area. Food intake is normal but she is getting weak day by day. Drinks lot of water day and night so she has to urinate frequently that disturbs her sleep. We are giving ger medicine etirest during night after food. Morning after food she takes glycomet 1 mg. her blood sugar is under control. She has normal bp and normal sodium potassium thyroid levels. How can we improve her stomach burning sensation. She is pure vegetation and doesn t have any pulses and sour food items including fruits
Hello, This burning sensation could be due to gastritis and dyspepsia. Since GLYCOMET 1 gm can cause it,you must split the dose into 500 mg twice a day. Give her a PANTOPROZOLE 40 mg once a day on empty stomach in morning for three weeks. I hope she would be all right with this treatment. Thanks
