Is Mild Hepatomegaly A Serious Condition?
my dad has jaundice and he gave his blood test and the report says that his liver is mildly enlarged in size (15.1 cm craniocaudal length in rt MCL) and it is written that no ascites or pleural effusion is seen.and there is impression that mild hepatomegaly.
and so what does it mean is serious?
my dad is 45 years old and his about 5 feet 7 inches something like that.

Here he is having jaundice with hepatomegaly...
So first cause Has to be searched for...
To differentiate hemolytic and hepatocellular jaundice from obstructive urine urobilinogen estimated....
Liver enzymes markedly raised in hepatocellular jaundice....
In hemolytic jaundice PS shows normoblast and increase retic count....
Meanwhile low fat diet taken in jaundice....
Some good foods like carrot , aloe vera , dendelion , grape fruit juice , golden seal , lemon juice taken for healthy liver....
With keeping this in mind consult gastroenterologist for exination....
Avoid alcohol if habit...
