Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern.
You have high level of cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and average level for HDL cholesterol, your HDL /LDL ratio has a high level referring to normal range that is less than 3.5,the high level indicate a higher risk for heart disease, for this reason your doctor has prescribed to you medication to lower lipid blood profile.
This medication can be taken when you should not maintain the right value of lipid profile with the healthy change of your lifestyle like low-fat diet, high fiber diet etc and avoid a sedentary life style doing minimally 30 minutes of brisk walking every day.
These medications are taken and monitored their effect and dosage every three months by doing the lipid blood test and liver function blood test.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Kind regard,
Dr .Marsida Janko
