Is It Serious To Have A Racing Heart And Pulse? Under Major Stress And Had Anxiety Attack

my husband has a racing heart and pulse for several hours now. had his lay down and rest for over an hour and take long deep breaths several times. after all that his pulse at rest is150 beats per min. just wanted to make sure if this is serious.

he has been under major stress and had a bad anxitey attack to day, also he is on prozac 20mg once daily. he drinks alot of alcohol and he is 40 years old

The heart rate greatly varies the mental condition, emotional stress, anxiety, depression, phobia, these are the conditions in which the heart rate increases but it comes al right as soon as the above mention condition treated or rectify have nice day.
