Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Safe To Take Hydrocodone/xanax/restril/soma/insulin And BP Medicines Together?
I am concerned about the combination of medications a friend is taking. Hydrocodone 10.325 every 4 hours---Zanax 2mg 42 mg 4 times daily---Restril 30mg for sleep---soma 10mg twice daily plus blood pressure meds. and insulin. She is also being weened off steroids. Am I right to be concerned. she is in her early 50s
Xanax and soma Can increase drowsiness and difficulty in focussing and dscision making
Hydrocodone and Restoril can cause severe hypotension and respiratory depression
I would like to point out that all effects might not be seen regularly especially in a patient who has been using them for several years. Please go back to your physician for dose adjustments
I hope I was of help
Regards
