Is It Safe To Take Coumadin For Short Of Breath And Dry Cough?
I am two weeks post bilateral PE and still get short of breath with dry cough and then sometimes white phlegm. I am on coumadin 5 mg and my pt/ inr from 8/5/13 was 4.3 and was told to hold it for that day and resume 5 mg today. Should I still be feeling this way and do feel lousy on coumadin.

Coumadin is meant to prevent future episodes of PE and not to correct the already existing damage and symptoms. Let your doctor evaluate these symptoms and manage them accordingly as they would not be taken care of by coumadins.
