Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern for the safety of Ecosprin during pregnancy.
Yes, it is SAFE to take Ecosprin during pregnancy.
Ecosprin 75 (Low dose aspirin) acts as a blood thinner.
It decreases the resistance to the blood flow thus making more blood available to the growing fetus (baby) and hence it is prescribed to women who are at a high risk for
miscarriage, in order to make the growth of the baby optimum.
It is stopped around 36 weeks, around one month before delivery, as it might increase the risk of bleeding during childbirth.
Since you had a previous miscarriage and the present antiphospholipid
antibodies (APA) are HIGH, therefore it is a must for you to your previous to take Ecosprin as advised by your gynecologist to prevent the miscarriage.
Ecosprin is relatively safe however it can cause
gastritis,
dyspepsia, etc.
You need to watch out for any spontaneous bleeding tendency and get your coagulation profile evaluated every four weeks to see any decrease in
platelet count or function early.
Hope the answers given have convinced you.
A feed back is appreciated.
