I have been diaganosied wit alcohlic cardiomypathy, when I had a ekg and echo it was after a 5 day drinking binge, I normally just drink on weekends I have not had a drink going on 4 weeks would it be ok to just have a glass of wine here and there or do I not drink again I am 55 a social drinker, 6' about 185 pounds
not a bit safe. The heart has been poisoned and alcohol is measured in the glass, gram, or ounce amounts (a LOT). So, it will do more damage. NOT drinking MIGHT allow some healing to occur. THEN, if someone has a drinking problem then they cannot drink safely. Drinking some will cause uncontrolled drinking. AND ALSO, stopping drinking causes alcohol withdrawal. Continuing any drinking will set up for more cycles of binge and withdrawal. THat Just Can't be Good.
