Is It Possible For The Cerazette To Delay The Periods Having Sore Breasts And Tiredness?
Hi I began to take cerazette 6 days ago however this wasn't the first day of my period, silly me! I'm due on tomorrow however I have had period symptoms for the past two weeks now starting before I took cerazette e.g. sore breasts, tiredness etc and thought I would be on my period by now from previous periods. Is it possible for cerazette to delay or stop my period after just 6 days of taking it? ! Thank you to anyone who can help!
Cerazette is progesterone only pill containing Desogestrel. Usually it is recommended to take these tablets continuously without break for better contraceptive efficacy. The effect of the tablets on menstrual cycles may vary from person to person. So as you are taking the tablets since six days and may continue to take, it is possible that it may delay your periods or can stop the periods or may present in the from of irregular spotting.
If you want to continue the tablets for contraception purpose, better don't stop the tablets, continue as per the schedule irrespective of bleeding. And use some additional contraceptive measure like barrier method for at least 14 days from now. By this you can expect adequate contraceptive efficacy.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
