Is It Okay To Take Medicine For Diarrhea During Breastfeeding?

hi! i recently delivared my baby. my baby is 50 days old. since monday night i had gastic pain and yesterday i passed motion almost 7-8 times. i have two queries. my gynae soctor has prescribed me an antacid and Taxim o tbls...is it safe for me and for my baby as she is totaaly on breastfeeding

Brief Answer: Yes..Okay..But depends on the prescribed drug's profile.
Detailed answer : According to me,the drugs prescribed by your gynecologist for diarrhea is safe both to you and your baby provided for shorter duration.I would also suggest you to rehydrate with lot of fluids,replace electrolytes with oral rehydration solution(ORS),Tender coconut water etc which is very essential than antibiotics.Hope i have answered your query.If any further questions,wish to help you.Take care
