Is It Normal To Undergo Severe Bleeding While Pregnant? Could It Be A Result Of Having IUD Removed?

Hi, doctor. I am 7 weeks plus 1 day pregnant This is my second pregnancy. My daughter was 3 years old. I have IUD after birth. Removed 3 months ago then I pregnant. I am bleeding every day since January 2, fresh red or dark bleed , some very small blood clot, no cramping but some back sore. Beta HCG was 3482 on Jan 4, then 4000 on Jan 6. Vaginal ultrasound done on Jan 4 show IUP, normal sac and FHR. I am concern if this is normal? Am I look like going to miscarriage? Should I take progesterone? I have been off a week a home for rest. What else I can do to keep this pregnancy?

I am so so sorry to tell you that the HCG rise from 3482 to 4000 in two days usually indicates a miscarriage. It is important to have another ultrasound done to check if the heart rate is still detectable. If the heart rate is still there, then it is possible that the pregnancy may be viable. I hope you hear good news. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
