Is It Normal To Have Slight Bleeding While On Depo Shot?

hello, I am 17 and have been taking the Depo shot for almost six months. I am due for my 3rd on June 23. I tend to have cramps during the time I would USUALLY have my period before I was on the shot or sometimes it is just random. And I just today saw that I have slight bleeding. Not much just a few drops. I wanted to know if that is anything I should be worried about or is it normal?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common while on depo.

It is due to hormonal changes and will settle by itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
