Is It Normal To Have Reformation Of Scabs After Tonsillectomy?

Hi, I had a tonsillectomy 2 weeks ago and ended up having to have it re-cauterized after a week. The scabs fell off on day 4 after the re- cauterization but I just looked at my throat and it looks like the scabs are reforming but on on the sides of my throat? Is this normal?

Hello,

Yes, in case incomplete healed wound may form scabs. But you have to check weather it is infected or not. If it is infected it appears like a swollen, red and pus formation spot. If you observe above mentioned symptoms means consult with your ENT specialist others wise keep and watching.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
